Make a decision today to trust in God no matter how awkward a situation may be

May the grace of God the father, and the unfailing love of our lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

I mostly try to observe things around us, listen to conversations about interested areas of matters and subjects I wish to write on.

But before I delve into my point of submission I would like to draw my precious reader’s attention to the very fact that, as Christians this world is not our final home, this world is a transitional point, it’s like a checkpoint / better still more of a police barrier. Glory to God…

The wiseman of Scripture, king Solomon uses this word in connection to a lot of things which we constantly engage and make use of with the goal of satisfactory human living.

The first 14 verses of the book of Ecclesiastes is both an intro at the same à summary to all that the Wiseman will be preaching. See this

👉[[Ecc 1:14]] KJV- I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.

Beloved indeed this world is vanity(emptiness), vainly. How amazing it is, God first meets Abram and tells him I AM the ALMIGHTY God with it meaning as the all Sufficient God. Our God transcends the universe, nothing material can please God, Yes.

Have therefore been trying to wrap my mind around the fact that this great truth has not been fully understood and believed on by many fellows of the confession.

In this context, I define anxiety as ones unbelief in God’s ability to provide all our needs.

Many of us are just anxious about unnecessary things, worrying about things which must not be worried about, I know friends who have the best of explanation to give when questioned about lotteries, these are all signs of rush in young men to achieve many things in a short while. Shalom.

The Bible says God even feeds the birds of the air and covers the Lillie’s of the valley, to this He then even says in [[Mat 10:31]] KJV Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows..

As much as the Bible teaches prosperity, its also loud on  virtues like Hard work, Discipline and Diligence. Many having been silent on this potion has led to an unquenchable desire to always get more, amass it and make Mary.

Two Bible characters who fit into this point more perfectly I think is Martha and Ruth. Martha whom Jesus says had chosen the best thing rather than serving, (toiling, struggling all to obtain a living) was Just RESTING and heeding to the words of the master.

Beloved (By your own strength, you achieve a little. G.K).

If there is any RESTING then to do it must must be a total submission to God’s supply chain management, an unrelenting assurance in God’s constant supply of provision.

Ruth whom would have just two bags of rice by working on the field of the man called Boaz rather got about 4 bags just by resting at the feet of Boaz, amazing.

Dear Readers, I pray to God that patience be granted to you, likewise faith In God as our all sufficient father in all pressing situations.

Salted SPEECH

Communication and speech is one of the greatest Gifts that God has given to mankind. And this in every unique purpose of it, is to the fact that God created man in his image and likeness.

Rights from the beginning of creation, the nature of the Godhead has characterized and influenced man in our responds to his word in the fulfillment of his will for man’s creation.
This was made possible as “God in sundry times spoke to us through his Prophet,” also as holy men of God were inspired to write the scripture for the preservation of his word.

Take words, speech, relational communication out of this beautiful world and you are left with a huge empty barrel.

” Speech is learnt, but the right speech is taught”. G.K

Apostle Paul makes a fundamental statement about this, and it’s reads…
[1Co 13:11] BBE

When I was a child, I made use of a child’s language, I had a child’s feelings and a child’s thoughts: now that I am a man, I have put away the things of a child.

Personally the text above is one of the most fascinating Bible verses I have come across because of how deep and imbedded it is with the basic principles of how a believer ought to conduct him/herself in speech.
Courtesy has been a great advantage to many people who had the chance to be trained and nurtured in all appropriateness. But not everyone had this experience of a lifetime at a tender age.

Again “Good courtesy is not a replacement of the right attitude in speech as a believer.” G.K

Even before and after a person gets born again, a believer is open up to all manner of wrong speech; vulgar, insult, tantrums, profanity, sarcastic comment etc.

How can this be solved? Paul states three (3) things in the scripture above.

  • Spoke as a child.
  • Understood as a child.
  • Thought as a child.

This is the condition of every baby Christian, Simply, Paul says he speak, before he  understand before he think. In the right manner this is very “Someway”. As a matured man or woman, you make up thoughts for understanding before you may speak it out, but this is the case of the unlearned “baby Christian”
Three (3) ways to help you adjust to Right speech as a Christian.

The word of God is able to make wise. When one gives him/herself to God’s word, marvelous effects and changes begins to bud up like fruits in that persons life.

It’s in the church that Christians are instructed in the lords way, making yourself available at church opens you up for corrections and opportunity to Learn a positive way a living.

A friend influences your decisions and actions greatly, therefore have good friends. Christian brothers and sisters will encourage you to always conduct yourself in a manner that is become of a Christian. Music, movies and other forms of information can corrupt our attitude, one must be careful with these.

Finally, the goal of this write is to make you know that there is a way a believer is expected to conduct his or herself in speech to the glorification of God.

God bless you!

ABYC @5  We Are Moving Beyond The Unseen

Remain Steadfast.

A beautiful story is told of a little boy who went to sea with his father who was a priest to fish as a leisure. This cute little boy knowing nothing about the sea as it was his first experience with his dad asked, dad hope we took everything that we would need for fishing, the response was yes.

On the sea there arose a great tempest which began to sway the boat off it course. A tragedy befalls the house of Gods servant, the little boy then asked the father, DID WE TAKE AN ANCHOR?
Have been wondering how a boat is able to know it way and direction through the widest oceans roundabout us. Two things helps to make this possible, a COMPASS and An ANCHOR.
An anchor is a device, normally made of metal, used to connect a vessel to the bed of a body of water to prevent the craft from drifting due to wind and current.

The Word Anchor is akin to Steadfastness.

[Heb 6:19] KJV. Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast…

From verses 13 to 20 of this chapter is themed to talk on how reliable the promises of God are and why we must believe His word concerning that on the basis of hope.

That hope which remains, is what Paul says that’s its both sure and steadfast. Trust the worthy saying, this world is an uncertain world, together with all that is found within it. There is few if not nothing in this world which is and can be trusted for the Salvation of our souls.

  • Making mention of The failing love of parents, friends and family,
  • Morally degraded society which can’t stand and defend truth from lie,
  • That undependable school system which leaves many jobless after many years of exams,
  • Repeatedly broken vows of marriage, and lastly people done even trust themselves.

In all of these perils, I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, for it’s the sure and trusted word of the unchanging God that is able to keep us from falling.

[1Co 15:58] KJV – Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Steadfastness is an essential principle in Christian character. There can be no success nor prosperity in the Christian life when this principle is wanting. The Psalmist said, “My heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.” This is true steadfastness. It is cleaving to God, let the storms rage as they may. It is resting and abiding in Jesus though the trials of life may be the severest possible. It is a firm, fixed, settled decision to abide in doctrines of the Bible. It is to rest confidingly upon the teaching and promises of the Holy Scriptures. Just as a man lies confidently down to rest upon his bed, so a Christian, in his steadfastness, rests confidingly, rests without fear, upon the never-changing Word of God.

Prayer: Dear father, I ask that you strengthen our faith to remain and abide in you, in Jesus name Amen.

Out of a Bible study I had some days ago has come this beautiful picture I imagined. I have put down to share with you all a few things about SALT.

I don’t think there is anyone in Ghana today who hasn’t tasted salt before, salt is a good thing for mankind with many advantages and some disadvantages.

It’s said that, salt is one of the oldest domestic commodity in the world, it’s recorded in ancient history that at some point it’s was seen to be expensive and more precious than gold.

In all of Jesu’s teaching as written in the gospels, we could say that he talked on mostly things that had a basic relationship with his listeners that they could easily understand, and one of them was SALT.

[Mat 5:13] KJV

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

[Mat 5:13] BBE

You are the salt of the earth; but if its taste goes from the salt, how will you make it salt again? it is then good for nothing but to be put out and crushed under foot by men.

I like the rendering that the Basic Bible English gives. The above text come from the chapter in which our Lord Jesus taught some people who had followed him because they saw him do miracles. It’s called the “Sermon on the Mount” or  “The Beatitudes”.

The best way to explain this piece of scripture is try to better understand some of the uses of Salt, and it’s usefulness in those days.

  • We are the salt of the Earth.
  • If salt looses it Saltiness.

The whole chapter speaks on how we as God’s people are in nature and how we actually behave. That’s to say we are expected to reach out to be that special factor everywhere we find ourselves on the basis of glorifying God.

This then is only possible if one yields him/herself to God’s word and live on it to prove to outsiders how different we are as God’s people and be the change factor in the post modernized society.

Though Jesus said, we are the salt of the earth; one eye or spec of salt can’t do the magic. The success of most big ideas and visions is based on unity, which is carried out by many, everything that has the greater support of the masses has/can make the more impact to get more work done.

Proverbs 14:28 says “the honour of a king is in the multitude of his people”.

This means if we as salt will be able to become that preservative factor, that beautifying factor we need the numbers. Did you know, if not for our presence here on earth the world would have been more evil than this, for our sake he world is a better place.

Kindly hear me on this, many Christians find it difficult to speak on issues that affect the society, others also have no idea about how to maximize every bit of potential we posses to positively affect our various societies. God hasn’t only made us who we are for faith and spirituality sake but to touch this world with all the goodness in us.

  • Did Jesus Christ know this?
  • If Yes, why did he say it?

There are two (2) significant things that we can deduce from this point. Meaning, if something is inevitable to extinguish, or difficult to destroy then it shows that such thing is important.  This two things are;

The relevance of salt is directly equal to how believers are also relevant on the earth. In the same way as salt can’t loose it savour, so are we useful in all things concerning our precious faith and society. There are divine responsibilities God has given to the church to carry out, these duties can’t be done by any other institution or organization. It’s is only the church that God has given the mandate to rescue man from the bondage of sin through the preaching of the Gospel.

From the scientific point of view, many have tried to debunck the words of Jesus; ie “Salt can loose it saltiness” through scientific means. But Jesus was not trying to prove whether salt can’t be destroyed or not, but to state emphatically that we the church is to remain stable in faith and truth as salt is stable. To reduce the effect of salt in a mixture, the solvent must be more than the solute (salt). I mean to say, For effective dispensing of the works of Christ through us to save the world we must be proven stable.

[Mar 9:50] KJV- Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

Have salt in yourselves, be that preservative factor wherever you find yourself, do Godly things to impact the lives of many and make use of this ability in you to fulfill God’s purpose for you. Amen.!!!

By: Israel Evans Osei (IEO)

The New Testament opens, with the Jews under Roman Rule. The intertestamental period had witnessed a number of conquests that left the Roman Empire as a major world power prior to the New Covenant Age.

This meant that Romans had privileges freedoms and rights that the common folk  like the Jews did not have.

More than once The Apostle Paul asserted that He was a Roman citizen .Although there is an ongoing theological debate about the authenticity of that claim by Luke, the author of  Acts,it still gives us a considerable ken on how meritous our citizenship in the Kingdom of God is Acts 22:28 states that Paul was a natural born Roman citizen while Philippians 3:45 states that he is a Hebrew.

My view here is that he was a Roman citizen by dint of his being born within Roman territory while his heritage made him a Jew. But how does ones citizenship as a roman informs our citizenship as kingdom queens and kings?

Let me endeavor to expound on that a bit.

After Paul’s missionary journeys he returned to Jerusalem to report all that had happened in his missionary journey among the Gentiles.

Acts 21:19

When he had greeted them, he told in detail those things which God has done among the Gentiles through his ministry.

As usual , some of the the Jews concocted misconceptions about the Apostles Devotion towards the Jewish ways leading to an uproar for his head.

When things got out of hand, Paul was taken to the barracks by The Roman Commander to prevent the crowd from lynching him.

By dialoguing with Paul, the commander learns of Paul’s citizenship and later learns of the Jewish plot to annihilate the Missionary Apostle of the Gentiles. Terrified of the consequences should a roman citizen die in his hand,He quickly makes room to protect Paul’s life. This is the hinge of this whole piece:

Acts 23:23-24

…Prepare two hundred soldiers ,seventy horsemen, and two hundred spearmen to go to Caesarea at the third hour of the night;and provide mounts to set Paul on,and bring him safely to Felix the governor…

Glory to God. This is one man being protected by more than 400 armed soldiers not because he was educated, intelligent, rich, preacher, singer, accountant, famous, governor, lawyer, apostle, anointed etc. No! None of these could protect him even if he had all. At that crucial time, only one thing saved him: his roman citizenship.

Do well not to allegorize this truth as some have by spiritualising this historical record. Now what does this tell and you,a citizen of heaven?

Christ is your protector and shield and you are citizen of a far greater kingdom,a more powerful kingdom. The King of this kingdom is the Lord of Lords. And he is on the lookout for you 24/7 because of your citizenship. Its not what you do, or what you have, or what you were. Its  about your citizenship in The Kingdom.

Beloved God is not annoyed with you and has not deserted you. If a roman citizen was entitled to 470 armed soldiers, how much more you,a heavenly citizen? Brace up yourself and look to the author and perfector of your faith,Jesus,he has not forsaken you.

In that business, ministry, school, marriage, society and whatever situation you find yourself, your citizenship rights and freedoms speak. Hallelujah!!!

He is for you, in you and with you and He is taking you places. Nothing can hurt you and definitely nothing will scare you. Hah! You are more than a roman citizen and you are entitles to heavenly rights and privileges.

Yours are not 470 armed men but God the Father son and Holy spirit with His Host of warriotic angels.
As Elijah Prayed for Ghazi’s eyes to be opened, I pray that this piece opens your eyes to the abundance and superfluity of Life Your citizenship in The Kingdom of God grants you…

He has made you the best among the rest and the first among the best. Trust me, you are more than a roman Citizen and you have every good thing in abundnace.

More Than A Roman Citizen
